Excellence in engaging, empowering, and enriching today for tomorrow’s expectations

Field Day is TOMORROW, May 29th!

Posted Date: 05/28/26 (05:00 PM)

The annual DE Field Day is TOMORROW - Friday, May 29, 2026! We are so excited! We hope the sun stays shining and they all have a blast!

If this is your student’s first Field Day here is a little more info: there is a water station each grade gets some time during the day, as well as outdoor field games, touch a truck, inflatables in the parking lot, an art project in the outdoor classroom and more!

All students please bring a reusable water bottle, and wear comfortable socks and sneakers. Please wear sunscreen to school on Field Day and clothes for hot weather.

A change of clothes including socks in a plastic bag is recommended to put in their backpacks (and sunscreen if they can reapply it themselves).

It is encouraged for kids to wear the grade level color for some extra fun and for the over 70 volunteers to quickly know where they should be throughout the day.

Grade shirt colors:
First Graders wear RED shirts.
Second Graders wear GREEN shirts.
Third Graders wear YELLOW shirts.
Fourth Graders wear BLUE shirts.
Fifth Graders wear your MAROON 5th grade shirt.
Kindergartners wear your tie-dye shirt you received at the beginning of the year.

Students participating in Field Day do not need to bring their Chromebooks to school on Friday, May 29th.

The parking lot will be closed during drop-off, pick-up, and the school day. The drop-off circle will be open for morning drop-off until 8:45am; however, the circle will be closed for afternoon pick-up.
Please plan accordingly for a longer morning drop-off line.  The weather will be sunny & warm, walking to/from school is encouraged! See Mr. Werner's post for all the drop off/pickup details.
